Instruction Guide

Polymer Scholar can be used in four modes:

1. Polymer name as input. A bar chart of the most commonly reported properties for that particular polymer is shown. If a specific pipeline (GPT-3.5 or MaterialsBERT) is chosen, properties extracted only by that pipeline is shown.
2. Polymer name and property name as input. An interactive plot of property values is displayed along with a histogram of those values. If more than one material is specified, property values only for all such materials are displayed together. If a specific pipeline (GPT-3.5 or MaterialsBERT) is chosen, properties extracted only by that pipeline is shown.
3. One property name as input. An interactive plot of the selected property values is displayed along with a histogram of those values. If a specific pipeline (GPT-3.5 or MaterialsBERT) is chosen, properties extracted only by that pipeline is shown.
4. Two property names as input. An interactive pairwise plot of second property values vs. the first property values are displayed. If one or more materials is specified, values only for the selected materials are displayed. If a specific pipeline (GPT-3.5 or MaterialsBERT) is chosen, properties extracted only by that pipeline is shown.
